Gabby Hemmer is a multimedia artist, florist, crafter, and sometimes baker based in Baltimore, Maryland. She strays from the representational: transforming reality through intense choice of color, abstract textures, and simplified shapes. Her work focuses on concepts of home, memory, work, and rest.

She received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2021, with a major in fiber arts and a minor in painting.

Gabby has spent the last few years working as a florist, both in the retail world, as well as within the wedding industry. Her love of flowers informs her art practice, as does her appreciation of her upbringing, her community, and her city.
